I converted a pdf file to svg in Inkscape saved as a plain svg and it looks okay BUT when I preview in SCAL its all over the place. I think its the straight cutting lines that I know SCAL doesnt like.
Could someone be so kind to point me the right direction to correct this.
Thanks in advance

The file has both groups and open lines, both of which cause problems. You have three options.
1. The paint bucket tool
2. Ungroup, increase the stroke width, make a bitmap copy, trace the bitmap, break apart, delete the outside line
3. Ungroup, increase the stroke width, Path/Stroke to path, Path/Union, etc. This option doesn't work well here since some of the lines aren't touching. HTH
You need to either connect the open line, or re-trace with a higher threshold. You also have dots inside your lines - a higher trace threshold takes care of this.
I have had the same problem with the lines being all over the place. It looks great in inkscape, but not in SCAL. I found that combning the paths fixes the problem.
