How do you convert other files to a svg and

can you convert files that have alot of things on them. I save stuff from cropycats.com they have some cute stuff on there and I was wondering how to convert them so I can cut them with the cricut

look in the tutiorals section, there are alot shoing you how to use inkscape. You need inkscape (free) or some other program that can trace like corel draw, or adobe illustrator. These are the programs that turn your pictures, clipart, icons, whatever into a cut file by tracing and saving as an svg which is the only file that can be imported into scal.
