I just got the SCAl and am wondering how to cut this bird dingbat. When I cut it in SCAL the wing and beak are cut as well ..what I would like to do is cut a solid bird with one paper and then go back with a different color and cut a wing and beak then I can just paste them on top so I have a 3-d, layered paper bird....any help you can give would be awesome!

Re: New to SCAL..Question about cutting Dingbats
You could cut one copy with blackout selected, and then another regular, or you could take it into Inkscape and edit it there. I pasted it into Ink, Path/trace bitmap, Path/break apart. Moved the wing and beak, edited it a little to make it cut better.

Re: New to SCAL..Question about cutting Dingbats
Thanks so much! I tried using blackout but only the eyes were left. Not too sure how to use any of the features. Any thoughts of good places to visit to learn more about Inkscape, I have never used it and would like to be able to use more Dingbats with SCAL. Thanks again!
