Newbie needs a Les Paul guitar
Newbie needs a Les Paul guitar
Hi everyone. I have had my SCAL only about three weeks. I also have Inkscape and I am trying to learn it. I need an SVG of a Les Paul electric guitar. All the electric ones I can find are the Fender type. I have been trying to make my own and I have had help. I am so close but I just can't seem to get it right. I would like to layer it, (or is it piece it), I don't know the proper terminology. I plan to shadow the edges with chalk to get the Cherry Sunburst effect. Does this make sense? I hope so, and thanks to anyone who can help me.

I converted a guitar, but it didn't look very good.
I did find this if you think you can use it as well.
If you want this file, send me your e-mail address and I will send it to you.

Thank you, I can use that. I'm new here, how do I email you?

Re: Newbie needs a Les Paul guitar
Here is my attempt at a Les Paul guitar. I can't do any more on it since I don't know anything about guitars (and the rain stopped).

Thanks Heather, I will try it. I've been working on combining something I did with one that Todd sent me but when I import it into SCAL, the program closes. I hope someone knows why. I can't seem to figure it out. I'm really new at this. When I finally get it to work I will share it with anyone who may like it.

You might try selecting the pieces that you want and copying it into a new file. With Inkscape you need to use the file you want to paste from to open the new one since it doesn't use the computers clipboard for that.Texasyl wrote:I've been working on combining something I did with one that Todd sent me but when I import it into SCAL, the program closes. Also, if you use the import files in Inkscape you need to make sure that you ungroup everything since it automatically groups vectors. HTH
