Thanks for that. I have started doing the same for .svg's I am getting from sites like MyScrapChick etc and pasting in the completed image so I don't forget how it should look.
I checked out your blog and I was doing the same thing you were so I was pleased to know I was doing it right. It is a good way to store information - you could also just enter the name of the person who designed it if you wanted to remember it for credit later or something like that.
