I need another one... A pointing finger...

Can anyone help me find a pointing finger?

I'm going to do a saying for my laundry room "Drop your drawers here" and I want a pointing finger, and I can't find one in wingdings anywhere! Can anyone direct me to a font that has one?

Try this dingbat. http://www.fontfreak.com/charactermaps/ ... ngbats.htm There are also some here. http://www.clker.com/search/finger/1 but they will need to be cleaned up.

How do you "clean them up"? What does that mean, when you are talking about clip art? I'm new to this. I'm good with regular letters and fonts, but dingbats and clip art is all new and foregin to me.

This one needs several things. The shadow is probably better deleted. The hand itself is not a closed shape and the line is done with stroke. If you want something that cuts like the picture, you need to select the hand and use Path/stroke to path. If you just want the shape of the hand, you need to close the bottom of the hand by selecting the 2 nodes and connecting them.

Here is what I did. It has both the outline version and the solid version.

What format did your picture start out in, and how did you remove the shadow?

This website http://www.clker.com/ has all of the clip art in svg form. If you find one you like, click on it, then right click underneath it where it says svg and select "Save link as" or "Save target as". I opened it in Ink, right click, select "Ungroup". Some images have more than one group, and you need to keep selecting all and ungrouping until the message bar at the bottom of the Inkscape window doesn't list any groups. After that you can click off the image, then click on the things you want to delete, and delete them.
