Hello!! I am totally new to SCAL and Inkscape. I am not finding the tutorials on You Tube for Inkscape very helpful. I was trying to create a word in inscape in a font that I like and then when I saved it as an svg file it did not open in SCAL. However, when I created a simple swirl in Inkscape and saved that it opened fine in SCAL.
Is there something special you need to do to creat a title in Inkscape for a scrappage and save it to use in SCAL? Any help would be appreciated. Also, there are so many tutorials for Inkscape and some are hard to see the instructions (especially in YOUTUBE). Any suggestions on best tutorials for basic Inkscape?
THANKS!!!

Re: Creating words in inkscape
Text needs to be converted to vector form. From the menu Path/Object to path.

Re: Creating words in inkscape
I have put together a master list of Cricut-related video tutorials. Select Inkscape where it says "all topics" and you will find the best videos for using Inkscape with SCAL and the Cricut.
