So, I have this file "Instructions For Managing Your Fonts". I couldn't save it as an attachment, but I could send you a copy if it would help to see what I am talking about.
I do not understand why we need to make copies of the fonts and then delete them, sort them etc. and I am really confused. Plus, I cannot seem to see what the actual font looks like after I make the copy, and the font names are now numbers and it is a mess! It also has you download a font xplorer to run in SCAL, but I am not even there yet!
Is there an easier way?? I have a font I downloaded that is zipped. When I open Inkscape and unzip it I can see it, but I have to do this each time. Or is there a way to leave it unzipped and in a font folder?
Thanks!

Re: Another Font Help
Well, I haven't read the document you're talking about, but what I did was create a font folder. I download fonts and save them to that folder (after unzipping them). I then downloaded The Font Thing. I directed TFT to my font folder. When I want to cut something using one of those fonts, I open TFT, click on the font I want, then open SCAL. I "refresh" my font list and the one from TFT now shows up. I click on it and type what I want, then cut.
It's working great for me and I don't have to copy, paste, organize, or anything else. All of the files are alphabetized and I can see waht they look like in TFT so it doesn't matter to me WHAT the name of the file is - I just scroll down until I find one I like.
