Will Inkscape run with Vista?

Hi everyone, I have been reading and reading and reading about all of this until my eyes are about to fall out I decided I would finally take the Inkscape plunge and it doesn't list Vista in the platforms that it uses to download.... Certainly I cannot be the only one with Vista out there? I have searched the forum but my eyes are starting to cross...forgive me if this is a repeat question, but can Inkscape be used with Vista platform? Thank you!

I run Inkscape with Vista and had problems til I Changed the Inkscape properties to run with XP

I run Inkscape w/ Vista and have had NO problems (yet), knock on wood! I think sometimes the bigger problem is not necissarily w/ Vista, but rather if you are running 32 bit or 64 bit. There are more "problems" w/ 64 bit, but always ways to get around them.

Thank you for your replies...Grammy, you mentioned something about XP...do you mean changing Inkscape on my Vista machine to XP compatibility mode like I did with SCAL?

Hello:
I have several graphics programs that I run on Vista. All were slow and stopping. I read everything I could get my hands on and all said to run them on XP service pk 2 capability. I also read on the MS site Vista can run on XP and is desired sometimes. Which makes me think there is a glitch in Vista that MS doesn't want to take care of. There are still times when I rush and I cause a slow up, usually when I catch myself quickly deleteing, moving etc. something and trying to change my mind to stop it. I think it has to do with how I let go of the mouse button. Hope you problems get solved and I do suggest when you are designing use the save option often during the making of the svg and you'll not be sreaming "It did it again"

MS does know about the VISTA issues....that's why Windows 7 is in Beta testing right now. I've Heard that Windows 7 (im sure they will change the name when it is released officially) is the platform that VISTA should have been originally. High hopes. Until then, XP compatibility mode is the fix for me. Thanks.
