How to delete just 1 measly node!!!

Post by kkrewtea »

I've learned so much from all you helpful people and have been able to do a lot in inkscape. I think I've change some setting though and now I can't delete individual nodes. When I try every thing disappears! How do I delete just a single node???

Did you get it? Post the svg and let everyone look at it... you may have deleted too many and all that are left are critical. Try adding one in a safe place and delete the extra one again>try path>object to path? with the object highlighted...

It happens with everything! I've deleted single nodes before and now I can't! I'm wondering if I changed something. I think I'll uninstall/reinstall and try that.

I think I know what you are doing, the same thing happens to me when I forget and hit the delete KEY on my keyboard.

What you need to do is click on the node you want to delete and the colour changes when it is select (see circled node) and then click on the delete node button IN INKSCAPE (also circled). I'm pretty sure this will fix it for you!
