New Challenge

Post by hokiebear »

Now that my first question has been answered, Thank You Susan and Raewyn...I am on to my next project for helping me learn inkscape and SCAL.

The end goal is to be able to cut the following logo. This is for personnal use only. The first file is the jpeg. The second file is my attempt at cleaning up the nodes. The second picture has a line that is connected to a node. I can not seem to get rid of this line. I have reviewed Susanbluerobot's tutorial on getting rid of a second line and it isnt working for me. Can someone help me either,

1. Take the jpeg to a clean, same shape version to cut in SCAL

or

2. Tell me how to get rid of the line in my sad cleaned up version.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Heidi

Hello Heidi
When I look at in Inkscape in Outline it is fine.
Sometimes in Inkscape you get this rouge line that shows up but isn't really there - if you resize your image the line moves around.
I had it on your svg file until I went to Path - Break Apart and then it disappeared.
i imported your svg file into SCAL and previewed it and it looks like it should cut perfectly fine.
Give it a try and let us know.

Thanks Raewyn and firstcut!

Thanks for the tip on the break apart tool. I shall put that nugget of knowledge in my notes.

I never thought of Wikipedia. I am going to look up my school logo now!
