Possible to outline text

I'm a newbie, using SCAL v4. Is it possible to create an outline of your text (not shadow effect). I want to use htv glitter for the outline of the text, and the body of the text will be regular htv, Since you can not layer anything on top of glitter, I need to have the outline. I hope I'm explaining this properly. TIA.

To directly answer your question... here's how I would do it.

Create the text.

Select it and go to Effects>Shadow Layer and create the desired outline.

Select both and go to Effects>Knockout.

Select the desired GAP between the original and outline. (Note: save your file before using this last step as SCAL can crash if the Gap is made too large).
