Ecal 2 Software Selection and Shape tool stopped working

I am fairly new using the machine. All of a sudden my selection tool and shape tool (so you can see the nodes) no longer works. I have tried to reopen old projects where they worked and started new projects and nothing works. I have restarted my computer and checked the software for updates.

Please help me!!! Thank you very much.
