I am trying to use a dingbat & create a .svg file. On Susan Robot's website, she says to find the ding you want to use and
put it into Inkscape. How do I get the ding in there to start with? I know, dumb question, but I have tried everything I know of. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: A dumb question
If you install the dingbat into your font file you will be able to see it in inkscape.

Re: A dumb question
I have had instances where the installed fonts don't show up in INK. When that happens, I type what I want in a bitmap package, such as Photoshop, save as jpg or bmp, open in INK and trace...then save.
A few steps but most times I feel like I need to convert my dingbats to svg.
