HI. I am using a 4" round frosted ball ornament.
I want to apply a saying to it.
I laid it out in my ecal software (I have an eclips).
I would like to know if anyone has any tips on how to apply the letters in straight lines on a round globe ornament.
By eye, is not reliable (yes, I tried and found out...LOL).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

some things to try:
you can arch/bend the image to give you the right contour that you are looking for.
Or heat up the vinyl with a hair dryer, and go slow with the application.

If it's just a slight arch, signmakers make cuts in the transfer tape so they can manipulate the vinyl around the contour.

Paula, I just finished some of these ornaments for the first time the other day, I placed a name crooked to! lol
So heres what I did, I made sure the ornament was straight in front of me using the hanging part as a guide to make sure it was straight, make sure the ornament is right in front of you centered, then I placed the name over it closely eyeballing, hold on to the ornament with your ring fingers to keep it steady, put your thumb over the most center letter in the name and push down only on the letter, then smooth over the remaining letters gently only in the center of the letters, Do Not press the transfer tape edges on the ball, only press each letter one at a time, this will help with wrinkles.
If you smooth the whole piece of transfer tape you will get wrinkles in your letters, only worrying about the letters allows the name to curve naturally. Hope this helps!

Thanks Angel. I am going to try and post my image later today.
I understand what everyone is saying but because I am trying to put a phrase on, it's not working as easily as one name.
