cutting with scal and cricut

I am having trouble cutting with my cricut. I just began this. It will only cut a part of my design and then quit. What can I do to fix this? Thanks for your help!

As you will see on the first page here...scal no longer supports that cutter for version 3

The software must be activated or else it will cut lines through your image.

If you have an old version 2 that you have not ever used...you may have some success using this to update to the latest version of 2.

I am using the version 2. It is activated. Everything with that is fine. The drivers are downloaded. It uts part of the design but just not the rest of it. Don't know if the problem is the cricut or the software! Thanks for the comments so far.

But the latest update is version 3 and it will not work with my cricut right? I can't update version 2 any longer, correct?

I don't know what the latest update is for SCAL2, mine says it's 2.044 when I open it and I'm able to cut. Does the machine just stop before the design is finished or does it continue and not finish cutting through? I had mine just stop when I was doing rhinestones, it would cut just a few of the circles and just stop as though it thought it was done. I had to select them all and click 'merge' and then it cut perfectly.

You can download SCAL3 and it won't mess up your SCAL2 because they are separate. I'm going to do that so I can see what's new.
