Hi I'm new to scal and only purchased the software yesterday.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Angel, can you post those instructions here for others, also. I am curious. I had this program once...seemed to take a lot of space on the computer, or there was something about it that I was not happy with, how it effected other operations of the computer after installed... can't recall, but I removed it.

I have revised this to these settings, I thought the dpi would make a difference in the appearance of the graphics but it doesnt, so I modified these instructions.

Absolutely, dont really know if this is the correct way, everyone is still trying to figure out the settings but this is what worked for me:

Put the embellishment on your page I used the cupcake with the candle for this

select it

go to the frame box by the color fill select it

pick black color

go to line tab, change line to .1 some graphics you may have to increase this more to get the cut line in scal. Also if you dont see the line appearing around image, go to the layers tab and click on the image you are putting the line around, you may have to open up the layer and click directly where it says bitmap or picture next to it.

make your embellishment small in size using the bounding box this exports faster

make sure embellishment is still selected

go to export as picture in file menu

export area: 96 dpi

choose selected items-- in the drop down box under export area

Choose save as svg

uncheck compatibility

no check in the boxes at conversion

click export and save where you want to.

gj1, I had alot of problems when it first come out, I didnt use it much, but now with all the video tutorials they provide it makes it easy, it froze up alot when it very first came out, seems to be okay now. I just love the graphics they have, unlike other places they are not child like to look at, they actually look real. Im so excited to finally get to use this with my cutter and ecal.

They will be coming out with more tutorials for craftartist professional 2 from what I have read, so hopefully we will get the full run down on how to export the svg successfully everytime.

I made this label to day from the kids lol.

Very welcome, I love sharing!!! I love the cutout studio for pngs to make the background transparent, didnt even think of this until yesterday lol!!! I took this vw beetle and totally made it my own!! I took it out of its surroundings, and turned part of the windshield into a frame and stuck my little boy in there he he he.

Angel, love your work. Too bad Craft Artist 2 is not available for a Mac or I would be there in a minute. Thanks for sharing your very creative work.
