Actually...in eCal you can choose the image and go to - Object/Add Shadow Layer.
I had my image ungrouped (so group it first).
In this particular design, the shadow has some gaps in it. Just to to Object - Break Apart. Then drag the filled in image away and delete the extra pieces.
Look at your layers panel and arrange the layers up or down if needed.
Here is one I recolored. Just posting the scut file, but you can open and look at it.
It was really quite easy.

Re: Saved File not opening
Hi and happy Saturday everyone.
I hope your weather, where ever you are is nicer than here. Rainy, cold and just plain...ICK!
I want to thank sstehman and gj1 for all the info.
It seems as if I am going to understand a lot on the software. I work with layers, some of my designs have been over 200 layers for a candy bar or birth announcement. I understand the up and down of them and a number of other tools as well. I too always have multiple copies of my work so I have something to go back to.
I guess my frustration is because this was suppose to be for our biz. Again, don't expect instant gratification, but I truly don't have time to spend months watching video, although now I am going to have to find the time. Sleep...who needs sleep? (I sound like a spoiled brat, good grief)
Again, thank you so very much for your time and responses. Unfortunately, the image that I wanted is not a free image, I have purchased it.
I will have to look and see if I have any free one's that I can use to make the birthday cards I need. Then I can post it.
You guys are awesome.!
Have a GREAT weekend and once again,....THANKS!!! You rock!
Paula

Re: Saved File not opening
Ok, I have found some freebie stamps.
If you are a digital lover, PLEASE, visit bugaboostamps.com
She has some awesome designs over there and every friday is a freebie!
When I open it, it has a box around it. It tried saving it in png format to remove box but its' still there.
Since I have the box using the method recommended by sstehman this doesn't work because it traces the box.
So, how to remove the box around it????
Thanks!
Paula

Sounds like you will beable to familiarize yourself very easily as you have done similarly before.
Everyone just wishes for more hours in the day...guess that is what we all need.
Thanks for your response. Good luck with your work.

.JPG or .PNG ...trace, break apart and pull away outline.

Re: Saved File not opening
Hi again!
Ok, did some looking and I have a few free images. PLEASE, visit bugaboostamps.com. She has some great stuff over there. I can see how a ton of her images could be used on cards.
So, with instructions from gj1, i was able to get my image outlined and cut. Yeah. And then I reliazed, ok, I have the outline, but I was looking to still have the image on there so I could color? (Does that make sense), So, I'm thinking I must have to put all the pcs back in place that I removed to have an outline and then put the pen in to draw them in. Does this sound right/
Thanks
Paula
