The shape may look good, but you need to be concerned about the number of nodes. I think in inkscape it's control+L that reduces the number of nodes.

Win zip doesn't make downloading files any easier. Depending on your operating system - most versions of windows come with a program similar to win zip already installed for free.

.cut files are made with shapes (from cartridges) in design studio. The only way to convert these really is to create a screen shot and then trace.
