Having problems with SCAL V2!!!

I need some help! I just downloaded V2 of SCAL after having V1 forever, and I am having problems getting it to cut! I designed my cut, set up my cricut and it was great- got my cut, no problem...that was the first cut. Now, I can't get my progam to cut at all! The program is recognizing if the cartridge is not in the machine, or if the mat is not loaded, however when I press cut- it goes through all the checks and says the cut is complete and it does not cut!!!

Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!!!

Have you downloaded the updates to SCAL2? New one is update 2.008 (Windows)

There's been a lot of changes to the basic SCAL2 program so the updates might fix the problem your having.

I tried to install the new version 8 and it stops in the middle. It tells me error 5 and won't let me download it.
Anybody else having the problem?

I was able to download and install it this morning on my Windows Vista laptop without a problem.

I am wondering if you had a problem during the internet download process to your computer. Maybe try downloading it again and saving it to your desktop, then install. That's how I did it when I installed it this morning.

If that doesn't work, try turning off your Virus software, run the 2.008 update from the saved file, then turn Virus software back on.

Thank you Deloris. I just tried again and could not install it until I realized that I had Scal opened and minimized. After I closed it it installed without any problems.

Any idea how to fix this? I'm having the exact same problem. I have tried updating and it still goes through all the screens but won't cut a thing...

lol...ok nevermind! Apparently if you try to cut a single image with the weld box ticked....you can't cut
