New Cricut Expression

Post by maletha »

I just got the expression for Christmas after having the baby bug and SCAL. How do I get my expression to work w/SCAL? I have SCAL 2 but its not working w/the expression. I'm so confused

I'm pretty sure that your new E already has the correct firmware. Make sure that you are selecting the Expression when the windows pop up. They default to the last machine that you used, and that was your Baby Bug.

Thanks Todd, I'll try that. I've used SCAL for the last couple of years so I'm really looking forward to using it with the E

Just an FYI - I also received the Expression for Christmas (09). It had the older firmware on it, 2.0 (something or other)... so it may need to be updated. I guess there are still a lot of the older firm-wared (if that's a word) machines out there selling yet.

Just my 2 cents. :)

Did you get one of the colored ones or the regular one?

I guess mine is just a regular one, it's just beige in color with silver trim on the left and right top sides.

When you go to cut a box appears. Make sure you select the Expression.

It would be more appropriate for CE to say that you need firmware 2.1x or 2.3x.

Watch the screen on your Cricut when you power it up. That will show the firmware during startup. HTH
