Help with image to SVG

I have this photo and when I trace it into SCAL it doesnt come out as clean as I would like - any suggestions?

Wow, you've done a great job separating the background from this and its a great photo, but SCAL is not really set up to trace photos. Actually none of the vector editors are going to do a great job autotracing a photo, without some pre-editing to turn it to black and white or posterize into a few colors. What I would do is go back into your photo editor, use the magic wand or whatever to select the white background, then invert the selection so just the boy and skateboard are selected, then fill that with black. You may have to do some work on the light part of the skateboard in case it gets selected with the white background. Once you've got the silhouette in black on the white background, SCAL should do a great job cutting and tracing this.
