ungrouping in inkspace

i have a font of a hello kitty i want to take off the flowers so they dont cut out and i want to ungroupe it so i can make body cloths etc in differnt colors helllp

What you need to use is not ungroup, but Path/Break apart. Then you will be able to move the pieces for cutting. I have two tutorials that might help you. Creating paper piecing svg files from dingbat fonts and Removing part of a vector image in Inkscape. HTH

Did you click on the picture first and then hit what Heather told you to??? That should work..
