error message when importing word book svgs

The svg file contains embedded imapges and/or fonts and will not be displayed. All images and fonts in a svg must be converted to outlines first.

That usually means that text has been left unconverted to Path. As long as you have the image to cut you are fine. Sometimes I leave unconverted text in my files on purpose so that I have information stored with the file and the information won't cut. HTH

I figured out that there were svg and scut files in the folder I downloaded. When I open the project (scut) then it worked fine. I just couldn't import the svg files.
