How do I mirror images with scal?
Re: Mirror Images
I'm not quite sure what you mean but generally if you "flip horizontal" that would give you a mirror image. More info from you might be needed to answer your question, like posting the file so we could see it.

Re: Mirror Images
I'd like to know how to mirror myself. When i tried to mirror image my grandsons name, all it did was turn it upside down. I want the letters backwards...so when i want to put a decal using contact paper, i can put it on the inside of glass, looking out. Is there anyway to do this ?

Re: Mirror Images
For words that you type in and want to mirror just hit the flip button...
Re: Mirror Images
I've got the same problem. I cannot for the life of me find where I can create something and make, copy, paste and make that a mirror of it. It's frustrating the heck out of me

Re: Mirror Images
If you are having trouble flipping, unclick the "keep proportions" box then do the flip - this works!
Re: Mirror Images
This may be another dumb question but I read the post about mirror images and I got the impression that the person want to name to be reversed like if she was etching glass when she places the letters and paints around it that it would then be spelled right when he looked at it.
And my stupid question is I use this program SCAL to cut images in vinyl or paper or even fabric on my cricut but does everyone else use this program to cut things using their cricut or do they use it for other things. I guess I was just assuming that everyone that posted on here is using a cricut to cut out letters is that not correct.
And If thats the case abt inverting the letters so if you want them to be read the right way instead of spelling the word backwards my cricut has a button for that so if I wanted to Etch Family on a piece of glass instead of type in ylimaf which wouldnt work anyway I would just type in Family and then click on the button that says FLIP and it flips the letters over so that it cuts it backwards.
I know that one of the disc that came with my cricut talks about that I dont know how to send that to you other than making a copy of the disc and mailing it to you but you might be able to find a video on it in YouTube I have found allot of help on YouTube.
Hope that made a little sense. Dalla

If you are using heat transfer (iron on) vinyl, you have to cut in mirror image because of the way the vinyl is put on your garment. You can see several posts about iron on vinyl on my blog.
