Issues with latest DS Update?

Hello.

I'm seriously thinking of taking the plunge and buying the latest version of SCAL. However, before I do so I have some questions.

I have a Cricut Expression and the Cricut Design Studio and I am thinking of udpating it to the latest version. I know in the past that Cricut Design Studio updates have "broken" SCAL for use on the Cricut machines. Does the latest update of Cricut Design Studio "break" SCAL? Are they currently compatible? Who is running the latest version of SCAL and Cricut Design Studio (as of the last CDS update in July)?

I will be running this on a Windows XP Professional computer.

I'd really like to get SCAL but I'd also like my CDS to be available for any new carts I *might* purchase. Although, to be very honest, if I purchase SCAL, I'm not sure how many more carts I'd purchase from ProvoCraft.

There are a few members here that use DS and SCAL as well.. They had no issues whatsoever..
