Question about SCAL update

I see in the Library box beside the Bold and Italic there is the Reload fonts button. What is the purpose of needing to reload fonts. If I am missing something I want to know. Also what does the Bold button accomplish.. As far as the Italic button.. I see it changes my font I am using to Italic.. but those other 2 buttons confuse me. If this is a silly question...Just ignore me..

I'm not sure what the Bold does in terms of cutting - perhaps it's useful with markers, I don't know. The Italic button when selected changes your letters to italic as you type them (not on previously typed letters). If you are working on a project and you download a font, you can click the reload button to refresh your fonts list and see that new font without having to close SCAL and reopening it.
