Post by gingrkitti »

Hello all.... I am trying to make a stencil of some sort with a svg and titles I put together using my AI program... so then I import into ink and what to combine all the elements to make it one svg. I have tried everything I can think of and it doesn't work, what am I doing wrong? I want it to look like this

I use AI all the time and for some reason this happens to me once in awhile. I make a file and for some reason it's Blank. When I download this file it's blank. I hope you still have your original file.

I fixed everything but the font. It wasn't converted to path, and I don't have it installed on my computer. I deleted what looked like pen tool in the arm area. I used Path/union on everything except the font and the white part of the ribbon. Then I used Path/union on the white of the ribbon, and excluded it from the rest. After that, it kept crashing my SCAL when I tried importing it, so I pasted it into a new file. All you need to do is change the font back to what it was, convert it to path, then path/exclusion. HTH
