I have The Font Thing installed, and have 2 places where I store my fonts. One is in my C Drive and it contains all the installed fonts on my computer. The other place is my external HD, my K drive, and is where I have TFT and another font file with uninstalled fonts that I have downloaded for scrapping and cutting.
I loaded a font through TFT that was in my K drive, but when I then bring up Inkscape and try to use that font, it will not show. It seems that Inkscape will only show fonts in my C drive. Is there any way to tell Inkscape to look other places for fonts?
TIA

Re: Help! Font Thing fonts won't show in Inkscape
I think that you do have to have it installed on the C: to use it. You can get pictures and images from an external drive, but I don't think you can do fonts, because you have to get that from the button with the "T" on it. Does that make sense? I think you'll have to put the fonts you want to use on your C: that you want to use on inkscape, and then maybe put them back on the external hard drive when you are done.
Sorry!

Re: Help! Font Thing fonts won't show in Inkscape
There was an earlier post (yesterday maybe?) where someone said that they used fonts without installing them. They opened the file to show the preview, minimized that window, then opened the program they wanted to use them in. I tried this with a few fonts and sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn't. Definitely something to keep in mind for the fonts that you might only want to use once or twice.
