Good afternoon !
I’m having a hell of a time trying to connect via the usb on my Brother scan n cut scanner. I click on brother then it has the different “ports” on my Mac so i checked “Connect automatically” . It just doesn’t want to work. My Mac does see the cutter so that’s a start. Is there something I’m missing ? Thanks a lot !
Connecting via USB
Re: Connecting via USB
Welcome to the Sure Cuts A Lot forum. Is this the software that you're trying to use for connect to your Scan N Cut? Brother doesn't legally allow 3rd party software to work with their cutters. So you cannot cut directly from Sure Cuts a Lot to your Scan N Cut. Instead, you'll need to export your files from SCAL as either SVG or FCM and then import those into Canvas to prepare for cutting.
If you're referring to cutting from Canvas, you'll need to go to a forum or Facebook group dedicated to Scan N Cut support. I've never owned a SNC so I can't provide any support regarding USB connectivity. Also, you might be able to find more information at Brother's web site for SNC technical support. Good luck!
