Having trouble with the Trial Version

I've upgraded my firmware on my Cricut Expressions. I downloaded the trial version and was able to cut ...although, it cut with 3 lines down the middle of it horizontally. Kind of like a sheet of music or the paper we teach our children to print on....it cut those three lines first, and then it cut the word I had sent to the Cricut. So, I just tried a different word and different font and it did the same thing. It looks like it's cutting the mat lines.
Any ideas?

that's what the trial version does - that way you don't download the trial version and never purchase the product!

I used the trial to make sure it was working with my cricut. I also wanted to SEE if this was something EASY. Something I could handle. KWIM? I spent 10 mins. with the trial and bought it!

You can get a good idea of it even tho it puts the 3 lines through. I cut a couple of things with the lines in it and I was sold!
