Help with Fonts

Okay I'm a newbie and have just been trying to play with this alittle. I went to one of font sites and saved the font to my desk top but it's not working right.. I got it from : http://www.specialtyfonts.com/
I'm still learning how all this works so any help would be great... I have windows XP and a little cricut.

I save my fonts to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts rather than my desktop and I'm able to see and use them in SCAL. Maybe that would help you?

I thought it wasn't working but it is.. Thanks.. What about dings?? Where do you save them?
