to upgrade or not
I have the Sure cuts a lot 2 and just bought the Cricuit Explorer Air. Do I need to upgrade to SCAL 4?

SCAL4 does not work with any Cricut machines. If you don't want to use the Cricut Design Space and can still return the Cricut your best option would probably be a different machine.
