CDS and SCAL Question

For you gals that are using both CDS and SCAL are you able to take files back and forth from the two software packages? I'm guessing NOT, but just curious.

Yes, I have successfully gone from DSS to SCAL...not tried to reverse. Teddy Bear and layers are from DSS.

So do you have to export from DSS and import into SCAL? Will DSS import SVG files or another file type that the SVG files can be converted to?

Sorry to be such a numpty, but I can't work out how to open a .cut file in SCA - can you please explain this to me in detail? Would that also mean that we could save a file in CDS even although we don't have the appropriate cartridge and then open it in either Inkscape or SCA and cut it?

You can't import DSS files into SCAL. It is a process that involves Inkscape and unfortunately, I can't explain it in detail cuz it is too detailed. I don't explain detailed directions that well.
