wow those are beautiful....did you paint the blocks or did they come in amber color? also, what about the hole for the lights. did you have to drill that?

The christmas lights are amber in color....I first spayed glass frosting on the blocks..way to much trouble...you can cut with cricut or what I have done is printed these out on transparency paper and then glued them to card stock...hopefully no more frosting spray to cover the cord and lights inside the block except around the middle which will be covered with bow or material.....I ordered 5/8 diamond drill bits and 1 inch drill bits..my 82 yr. old dad still works everyday in his shop and has several drill presses..I am so blessed..just wished I have discovered how blessed I was earlier in my life....I like the 1 inch hole drilled near one end of the block...what would be really nice to is cut out vinyl with cricut and then just print out any photo you like to go behind the vinyl....I fixed the boy dog fishing on inkscape as a png so it leaves a transparency in the middle, print it out on printshop and I put Broome coast line behind it...I sure am long winded !!!

I use my photo program, Print shop or any photo program you might have...adobe, MGI ....just insert or import into the program and size it to a 7 X 7 inches..print out on transparency paper and cut it out....I have been working with photos for some time but have really had to spend time trying to learn inkscape and scal...lucky to have everyone here to help.....the file I sent of the boy, dog, fishing is ready to cut out if you wanted too....
