Print and Cut
Print and Cut
Is there a cutting machine that will print an image and also cut out that same image?

Re: Print and Cut
only the cricut imagine but that would only work with the carts.
no decent cutting machine on the market will print AND cut. you use your home printer or get them printed commercially and cut on your cutter

The Imagine was supposed to do that but from what I understand many people had issues with that machine. I don't think I've seen it recently in any stores.
The Cameo has a print and cut feature but you print it out on your printer and it makes Registration marks on the paper then you feed it into the Cameo for cutting. I believe other machines have this feature due to the optical sensors on them, but I could be wrong.

If you aren't learning something new everyday you might as well just lie in a grave and wait for death.

the silver bullet does this too, but it has a laser that you use to align for PnC
a few others have laser alignment as well

The Imagine has, in fact, been discontinued. My sis-in-law still has hers and it has always worked fine. But, of course, it works only with Cricut carts.
The Cameo and the Eclips both have a print-and-cut feature; however, from what I understand, the Cameo works better. From the software program you send your image to your own printer. It prints the registration marks. On the Cameo, you load your image, then just tell it to automatically locate the registration marks, and it will do so and cut your image out quite easily.
