Help Needed on Glass Etching

Hello all,
We just had a new granddaughter, and I am working on a gift for her. I would like to etch her foot prints onto the glass, but I am not sure how to go about doing that. Any ideas???

You would want a picture of her prints and then either make a likeness or try for a good trace...then cut that out of vinyl or contact paper and either use an air eraser type etch or armour etching cream. The first is a piece of equipment that you need that is like an air gun and the second is cream that you smear on the open spaces of the vinyl template and leave on for 20-30 minutes, I believe is close to correct and then rinse off. You have to clean the glass well first with rubbing alcohol, I believe is correct. You could google this as you can anything to see if I am correct.

Another tip for using Armor Etch...once you get your vinyl or contact paper placed cover the front of the glass with painters tape..this is for when you rinse the glass..I've found out, the hard way, that when you rinse some of the armor etch can get trapped on the edge of your vinyl border and even if it is for less than 1 second it will etch a "ghost" border around your design. If you use painters tape to cover the rest of the glass or where the rinse off happens, you will be able to prevent the "ghost" border..
