Cutting adhesive backed film

Has anyone got any tips for cutting adhesive backed film? I have some of the Tim Holtz frosty film and it just will not cut through the Grand Calibur so I want to try my Eclips but want to peel off the shape after cutting so don't want it to cut right through, do I choose vinyl cut so it kiss cuts or does anyone have any experience of this, don't want to waste loads experimenting!! Thanks.

I would say the same settings for vinyl....anyone else know?
