It is always more useful when you post a file to also post a picture of the file so others can see what it is before it is downloaded. I believe that a capture of the actual SCAL file is best, but an Inkscape file is good also.
If you are so inclined a .jpg or png of the original or use of the file is much appreciated.
Here's how to do it or where to find out how to do it.
ON A PC
To take a screen shot of your file either in Inkscape or SCAL on a PC go here:

ON A MAC
Taking a picture of part of your screen
If you don’t need a picture of your entire screen, you can capture just part of the screen using Grab.
To take a picture of part of your screen:
Open Grab, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
Open Grab
Choose Capture > Selection.
Move the pointer to a corner of the area you want to capture.
Drag the pointer across the area and release the mouse button.
Grab captures the part you selected within a few seconds. A new window appears with the image of the selected area.

Alternately on a Mac, just press shift-command-3 for the whole screen or shift-command-4 to select part of the screen. The resultant images show up on your desktop.

Re: How to do a SCREEN CAPTURE to post with your file
Thanks for the info Susan...I have a question though.
I grabbed (on my Mac) and posted it to the forum, but because the image is a .tiff it won't upload to facebook and I can't see it unless I'm in Safari (right now I'm in Firefox). Is there a way to Grab and make it .jpg?

The Grab application saves as tiff, the keyboard shortcuts I gave save as .png
Not sure if Facebook takes png or not but all the major browsers should be able to see pngs
If you need to convert either tiff or png to something else, open the file in Preview(probaby the default app for these already) and do a save as... to jpg.

PNG allows transparency so it is easier to work with in some applications, and it features lossless compression. It is a format that is gaining popularity, especially with graphic artists, but I don't know of any impact it has on our digital photo taking.

On a PC that runs Vista, the "Snipping Tool" is great and really easy to use. It's in the Accessories folder. I just add it to my Taskbar so I can access it instantly when I need it.
