I've been lurking around here for quite some time and just noticed the other day that some of the Inkscape users use the group and ungroup function for welding the objects together. I have used the break apart and combine functions for several months and love it but do admit I haven't tried to cut anything with the grouping function. Question has someone tried it and does it cut well? I would love to see something that has been cut with the group function that was used.
