Design Studio

I am a newbie to the Cricut so I apologise if this question has been asked before. I have SCAL and Inkscape and wondered if I downloaded Design Studio whether it would stop me using these two programmes which would def be a no go. I have the Cricut Expression. Thanks for any advice.

You have to use DSS to update your firmware on the Cricut. However, if you don't use DSS for cutting with carts, you should have no problem with the other software products. I have DSS, which I don't use for carts, and it has never interfered with my cutting.

Thank you. That is really useful info and I shall bear it in mind. Will wait util after Christmas and see what santa has brought me before deciding to go ahead or not lol!
