Changing from Silhouette Studio to Sizzex Eclips Ecal

Post by MrsE »

I have just purchased a Sizzex Eclips with the Ecal software. I have previously used a craft robo with silhouette studio (designer edition) software. I have tonnes of files in .studio format - is there a way I can convert these and use them in ecal??? Thanks in advance :-)

I "believe" the Silhouette has the option to save the file as an .svg. If so you can then open the svg in eCal. I don't have the software, but check it out.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, my version of Silhouette Studio Designer edition doesn't allow me to do that. Any other ideas, anyone??

Do you have an export feature? What file formats "can" you save as?

Check out this discussion on the Silhouette Plus forum:

Kelly posted on #23 that she had Studio 1.9 version where you can save as a svg file.

If the download link doesn't work, try contacting Kelly to see if she can send you the Studio 1.9 installation file so that you can save all your studio files in svg format.

This is pretty long, especially if you have a lot of files, but I tried this and it worked:

I cut with the Sizzix Eclips and Ecal.
