change color of border

ok, possibly Inkscape pros - i have a text picture that has a line border around it that i want to change the color of. Can that be done in Ink or somewhere. I am attaching for reference and if you can do it great but i would also love to know how. I want to modge podge it onto a canvas and hang it. i think dark burgandy/rustish (hehehe ) will be the color i go for. Of course if i know how i can change it if i don't like it.

Let see...I erased the border in Paint...now how best to get another in there for you...hmmm.

well, that is a thought. how about NO border and i ink it before modging it onto the canvas. CCOOOLLL.
any more ideas.
oh is it too complicated to explain how you got it to disappear. I don't even know if i have paint. - let me go see.

I just put new color in with Paint...so if you want to work in Scal or Ink...then you could use the blank one.
I guess it would have to be traced and add the lines.
Or, you could just do a mat out of paper strips on top of the printed page.

Yes you can change your border colors right in inkscape.. you can change the default border color.. On your toolbar go to wear the image of the wrench is click on that.. where it opens the size of the page document you want.. on the bottom is border.. the default is grey but click on that gray line and the color window will open. click on the color you want.. I hope this is what you are asking for.. I'm on sooo many pain meds right now I don't know whether I'm coming or going..LOL
