SCAL Shuts Down When I Try To Cut

I make a file that is all text and each time go to cut the file SCAL 2 locks up and says that it is not responding. Is there anyway that I can reduce the file size or does anyone know a way around this. I REALLY want to cut this file.

Maybe if you haven't...you could group everything...do it a couple lines at a time and then all together...the times I have 'not responding' or shut downs is in trying to group too much all at one time...so I do it in small groups first and then all together.

And another thing is to shut everything and start up again. I have had this happen and it seems to remember what it was doing last time and they only way I can get it to forget is to shut down all and then restart.

Also occurred more often with my old clunker laptop that did not have much memory than the newer machine.

Thanks ladies for the help. I had tried to shut my computer down and start again, and still couldn't get it to work, and my laptop is new so I was super confused. I ended up taking your advise, ungrouping the project and getting it it sections. It was a lot more work, but it worked great. Thanks for the help, it was really appreciate!

Glad things worked for you...sometimes things take some more doing than we planned, but all worth it in the end and gratifying too.
