Popular punch

Post by lindamac »

Everyone is raving about M. S. branch punch. I didn't want to spend the money for one so made one of my own to cut out with SCAL. Remember if you can copy it, you can Inkscape it and cut it out with SCAL. I can't include the svg file because it is very close but not exactly the same but you can copy my picture and do the same thing.

Really nice. All these tips on where to get things and ideas for more things to cut are really helpful.

Thanks for such a nice clear photo. Took me about a minute to create an SVG of my own. Saved me from wanting to buy one. And now I can have those branches in different sizes.

Great! I've tweaked it a bit more in Inkscape to make the branches thinner. I ended up buying the punch after all just so I could see how close I came. Someone on the Cricut message board made a 10 1/2 inch wreath using the punch. She punched out thousands of the branches to make it. Just think how much time she could have saved using SCAL!

I bought the punch anyway and I love it! I made 10 mini wreaths, added snow using Flower Soft, decorated with glitter and glued them to the Christmas card front door. Pictures attached. The only reason I used the punch instead of cutting them out was because the punch embosses them giving them a three dimensional shape.
