Schnauzer

Post by lindamac »

I cut this Schnauzer from a free pattern at http://www.mamawslegacy.com. I always have such issues with getting glue all over the place so I ironed Heat and Bond onto the black paper, cut it out with SCAL and ironed it onto the tan base. I am going to do this with all my intricate cuts from now on. No mess with glue! Heat and Bond isn't very expensive at Wally World. Sorry the pict is so big. I haven't figured out how to import a smaller picture

He looks really good Linda! Thanks for the tip using the iron on stuff too. I tend to use a fine tip Zig Glue Pen, but every now & again (okay okay so often) I get glue in places I don't want it..LOL.

Thanks again,
Mel

Great tip. I often forget that we don't HAVE to cut everything out. Today I just printed out what I loved instead of messing with Inkscape tiny pieces and hand cut it out.

Great job.

Linda, here is a smaller pic, if you want you could save this one to your computer, then delete the larger one and attach the new smaller one. Or you could just delete the big pic and put a note to see the picture below.

LOVE this idea! Aren't you clever for coming up with it? Now I have to find some of that Heat and Bond. Question, is Wally World another name for Walmart? or is there a line of stores that go by that name? Can you tell I live in a small town in Canada??

That is wonderful! And thank you for sharing the site!

I now wish I could find a cut file for a Sheltie like these (no cartoonie looking!)

Marly,
Wal-Mart is a huge chain. They started in very small towns and are now everywhere. The Canada site is here: http://www.walmart.ca/wps-portal/storelocator/index.jsp

Yep, Wally World is just another name for Walmart. The Heat and Bond is so handy with fragile cut files. The Schnauzer's black part was so wobbly, I was sure I would tear it taking it off the mat but with the Heat and Bond on there it gave it more strength and when I ironed it to attach it to the tan background, I just hit a few spots to get it to stick and then ironed on the rest of it. I live in the desert and have been having a hard time with glues staying stuck. Even the Two Way Zig glue comes undone. I may just use Heat and Bond from now on.

P.S. Marly, if you can't find Heat and Bond in Canada, let me know and I will send you a roll.
