Hearts in Circle

Post by Marly »

This is a design I created in Inkscape, no cheating, no copyright breaking, yadda yadda. I watched this amazingly simple tutorial at this link http://www.amazingpapergrace.com/circle-frame-tutorial/... well, I should say she MADE it look simple. All she uses is an ornamental corner punch. The only corner punch I own is just a corner rounder and I was going to march right out and buy me a pretty corner punch like she uses. Then I thought about it some more and thought I could save some money here and make a design of my own in Inkscape and then I can share it with you lovely people. The benefit of the .svg file is that you can just size it to the size you want whereas with the punch you are limited to just the one size.

Anyway, take a peek at her awesome video if you want to make it with your own corner punches - I would if I had them.

Below is the pic of the cut preview in SCAL, a pic of the actual cut I did just from scrap printer paper. The cut was a 2" circle. And of course I'm including the .svg file!! lol

Enjoy!!

PS - I authorize anyone that wishes to tweak the design, make a stamp from it, make money from it to feel free to do so. I'm releasing it to the public domain!

Marly, great file. We don't often think of the "negative" space being the design. A bonus is the pieces that cut out could be used for leaves etc in other projects.

Nice job. 8-)
