I would like to convert this picture to a SVG file? I am fairly new and am not getting very far. Has anyone seen an SVG with swirls similar? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you don't use inkscape the quickest easiest way I know of is to convert it here
http://convert.neevia.com/pdfconvert/
from a pdf to a jpeg and then you can trace it in scal
I sure hope this helps if not give a holler and I or some one else will do what we can for you

I really liked the pattern, so traced my own copy and put a frame around it.

Inkscape is a free drawing program. One of the things you can do is import images and "Trace Bitmap" to create a usable svg file...(there are a few more steps but you get the idea). Some things can be done in Scal2 but I only have Scal1 so I've always done my editing in Inkscape anyway.
I have a number of tutorials on features of Inkscape and a link to a very helpful forum called Inkscape Cutting Design which has lots of wonderful info on using this great software! Thanks for sharing the image!
@pastda3 - Your version looks great! Looks like iron scrollwork.
