CUPCAKES

Post by mumsie »

Cupcakes are looking like a trend with a lot of the new CHA stuff being released. I made these cupcakes for a swap and they worked out really easy, quick to do, and loads of fun.
You could use all kinds of techniques for the 'frosting' -- let your creative side run free! I thought they would make FAB birthday invites.
The bottoms are simply the trapezoid shape which is in your SCAL library, and the tops are just a cloud dingbat. The hearts you should have in your SCAL library as well, or you could use punchies. I can't find the file for that sorry, just fool about with the size till you're happy with it.

Have fun 'baking' !!

EXACTLY what I have been looking for! I needed one without a candle, so this will be perfect. TFS!

Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I just get a row of hearts when I open the bottom or the top! But it's still good! Since you've explained what you used to make it, mumsie, I'm going to try creating my own with the trapezoid and a cloud dingbat.

Hi Jeanne,

I'm sorry about that! I opened the files myself and I'm seeing the clouds and shapes but maybe I saved them wrong somehow ....
I'll have a look for the cloud dingbat and post it's name in here as well. (it's fantas second -- free download from somewhere)

Don't forget to 'share' your cupcakes around :D

Wow! thanks for that cupcake font LinN!! I d/l that one, can see I will be using it heaps!!!

I just made a whole heap more of these to use for swaps and yes, the 'bottoms' file opens as a row of hearts for some reason. Which is actually a part of my cupcake, but not the bottom :? so I don't know what I did wrong.....

Anyway, I'll try deleting the crook file and adding the right one.....
