all sorts of problems
all sorts of problems
I have a mac. Most of the time that I hit cut, it say that cricut machine cannot be found. The usb works just fine, it's the same one I use for my printer and there are no problems. Every once in a while It will work but then in the middle of a cut, the program just quits unexpectedly. My cricut is version 2.34. Will an upgrade fix this? Do I have a bug? Has anyone else had this problem? I am so very frustrated and need any help!
Re: all sorts of problems
I had this happen to me yesterday for the first time ever for as long as I have been using the program. I cut something 3 times with no problems. I tried to cut the same pattern for a 4th and 5th time and the program just stopped. Try doing a cut with no mat loaded. Just hit the Load Mat button and then Cut. You might want to raise your blade to 1 and lower your pressure to the Minimum. Let me know if it stalls again.

Re: all sorts of problems
That's a bummer.... I used to have that problem with the original SCAL but not with version 2. I plug my cricut into the usb on my keyboard. I've noticed recently that the square port where the cord plugs into the cricut is loose and I am expecting anyday to have simialr connecting problems. I hope you get it fixed.

I have a mac and I have had that problem from Day One. Every single time. And now I've upgraded to 2.043 and I can't cut at all. I'm searching the forum for help with this.

Cricut PEC
just upgraded to SCAL 2.043

Re: all sorts of problems
I just purchased SCAL2 on Friday, and upon trying to use it for the first time on Saturday, I encountered this very problem. I get an error message on my computer every time I try to cut, even though my Cricut shows that it it "USB Connected." Needless to say, I am quite unhappy as the product I paid so much for that promised so many wonderful things has yet to work. It is comforting, however, to see that I am not alone. Should anyone find a remedy to this problem, please let the rest of us know so that we may be on our merry crafting way!
